Social link previews (Open Graph and Twitter Cards)What it checks and how to fix it
What it checks
Checks the Open Graph tags that drive link previews. It fails when the page has no og: tags at all and warns when og:title, og:type, og:url or og:image is missing, og:title is outside 15 to 60 characters, og:description is outside 60 to 200 characters, or og:image is not an absolute URL that answers 200. When the project enables social validation it also requires a valid twitter:card with twitter:title, twitter:description and (for summary cards) twitter:image.
Why it matters
Every time someone shares your page on Slack, LinkedIn, X, WhatsApp or iMessage, these tags decide what the preview looks like. Without them the platform guesses, often picking a logo, a random image or no image at all, and a bare link gets far fewer clicks than a rich card. A broken og:image is especially common after a redesign and is invisible until someone shares the page.
How to fix it
Add the four required Open Graph tags, plus a description and site name, to each page's <head>. Use an absolute HTTPS URL for the image (1200x630 px works everywhere).

For articles, set og:type to article and add article:published_time and article:author. Check the result with the LinkedIn Post Inspector or the Facebook Sharing Debugger, which also refresh their cached preview.
